Penreach is a non-profit organisation, established in 1991, focusing on education in a pipeline from ECD to matric, providing access to quality education in rural communities in Mpumalanga. Penreach offers programmes to provide skills and knowledge in Early Childhood Development, Primary School, and High School. Penreach is one of (if not “the”) largest educational outreach programme in the country with a track record in teacher development and learner support of more than 25 years.
The vision of the Penryn Trust, namely to ensure that all children have access to educational excellence, is executed through two entities. While Penryn College, as a school, is responsible for ensuring excellence in its classrooms and centres of learning, Penreach beams excellence into the broader educational community.
Penreach has reached more than 470 000 beneficiaries in 2017 with the various programmes. With a reach into 140 ECD centres, 200 schools, 125 communities and the classrooms of 1200 teachers.
We conduct coaching, mentoring, training and development. Penreach strengthens the capacity of leaders and educators within Mpumalanga to deliver education excellence to children from 0 years to grade 12. Our ideal is a country where every child has access to quality education, supporting the national objective of 90% of children achieving above 50% in maths & science by 2025. Penreach has built valuable relationships in Mpumalanga over the past 26 years including the Department of Education.
Penreach works in the Ehlanzeni, Bohlabela, Gert Sibande, and Nkangala districts in the Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.
